Son of William A. "Billy" King and Josephine Dudley, he was born and raised in Georgia. Married Mattie Lou Pittard on January 12, 1908 in Madison County Georgia. He was the father of six children, three of which lived to adulthood.
Sanford was a farmer but at one time ran a grist mill, also owned and operated a saw mill. He was my father-in-law and although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, I have heard many kind words about him.
