Sarah Ann Rairdon, 13, rural Underwood, died May 20. Services, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, in the Underwood School auditorium. Rev. Robert Nedrud will officiate, and burial will be in Sverdrup Cemetery, rural Underwood.
The daughter of John and Linda (Fox) Rairdon, she was born Feb. 12, 1972, in Bertha. The Rairdon family moved to Underwood in 1975 and, a short time later, her father married Marilyn Rowe Barry. They lived in the Wheaton-Graceville area before returning to Underwood in 1983.
She attended Wheaton-Graceville area schools before enrolling at Underwood School. She was in the 7th grade when she disappeared on her way home from school May 20.
Miss Rairdon participated in the Underwood School track, basketball and speech teams and was a member of Sverdrup Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, John and Marilyn Rairdon; mother, Linda; 10 brothers and sisters, Michelle, Susan, Julie, Kristi, Jesse, Jeffrey, John Jr., Mark, Adam and Matthew; grandparents, Alfred and Amelia Anderson of Fergus Falls, Leella Moore of Levenworth, Wash., and Albert and Sylvia Rairdon of Fort Collins, Colo.; and great-grandparents, Annie Russell of Levenworth and Bertha Shogren of Alexandria.
