Mr. Michael Brandon Benavidez Hernandez
July 20, 1974 - March 18, 2009

Mr. Michael Brandon Benavidez Hernandez, 34, of Dallas, and formerly of Austin, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 8:22 P.M.

Michael was being rushed to Parkland Hospital when he went into a Diabetic Coma. His heart stopped and with CPR was brought back, but, not before his brain was without oxygen for 40 minutes (Per his Doctor). His blood tests showed Michael's blood sugar was over 1,200 at the time he came into the hospital (Normal is between 70 and 120). Michael's sugar was being lowered with insulin, but, when his blood sugar got to 300 his HEART stopped.

Michael was surrounded by his loving family and he waited for his maternal grandparents, Felix and Amanda Benavidez, to arrive from Austin, Tx and they said their good bye and gave him his last prayer before he died at 8:22 p.m.

Michael, in 2007, started his own IT company in Dallas by the name of "The Simplified Solution!". This company was his baby, he loved working for himself and doing what he loved to do.. and that was starting up companies I.T. Systems. The knowledge that died with my son is beyond comprehension.


Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Angel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery with Michael's final blessings given by Pastor Ramos of Templo Sinai Church of Montopolis.

Michael Hernandez was preceded in death by his sister, Violet Bredna Orosco, and paternal grandparents, Alvino and Benita Hernandez.

Michael is survived by his mother, Edna Benavidez Martinez and Step Father (Father) Nick B. Martinez; maternal grandparents, Felix and Amanda Benavidez; twin sister, Michelle Brandy Benavidez Hernandez; sisters, Kyla Briella Benavidez Martinez, Araceli Breanna Benavidez Martinez; brother, Christopher Brent Benavidez Hernandez.

Michael is also survived by his Dog (Son), Dakota whom he loved with all of his heart. Michael's best friend, Bryan has taken over raising Dakota after my son's passing.

Michael really loved his special nephew, Christopher Hernandez Jr.

Pallbearers were: Christopher Brent Benavidez Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez Jr., Bryan Bustamente, Mickey Dominguez,

Michael Brandon was an organ donor but with the circumstances of his death, his wishes were unable to be fulfilled.


In lieu of floral tributes the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.

It's so hard to believe, Michael, that you're really gone. Our love for you will never die. We miss your smiling face and the sound of your laughter. We miss you coming to Austin from your home in Dallas and telling me.. "Mom, you rest, I am doing all of the cooking this week-end". Everyone loved it when you cooked because you were such a fantastic cook. You left so many memories, which will always live deep inside our hearts. We are thankful that God graced us with someone as special as you. Words cannot express how much we miss you. We miss you still as if you've just left us and the pain is almost unbearable at times. Just know that not a day goes by that we don't think of you. On March eighteenth, we will all shed tears.
