OBITUARY
Mrs. Ethel Blitch Wright died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Her funeral service will be Saturday 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment in Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Chip Gresham officiating. Born May 25, 1916 in Cairo to Albert Sydney and Edith Robinson Blitch the family moved to Pelham and later to Miami, FL where she met and married William David Wright. Mrs. Wright was employed for 28 years by Burdines Department Store. Her field was cosmetics and opened and managed to cosmetics and drug department in both Dadeland and Westland until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and was a volunteer and Palmyra Medical Center where she recognized in 1988 as an Outstanding Guest Relations Ambassador. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Thronateeska Chapter of the D.A.R. for 21 years and served as Chaplin and Vice Regent and was the recipient of the Community Service Award in 2001 for her dedicated service to Palmyra Medical Center. Survivors include her daughter Pat Martins, Albany; grandchildren, Paul Martins and his wife Cindy, Leesburg, daughter Penny Alligood and her husband Allen; great grandchildren, Haley Martins, Eleanor and Nathan Alligood; sister Virginia Ingebrigtsen, Albany and brother James Blitch and his wife Joyce, Arcadia, FL. The family will receive friends Friday 7 to 8:30 PM at Kimbrell-Stern and will be at the residence of Mrs. Pat Martins, 3202 Autumn Ave.
