George P. Fudge, died Saturday morning, December 14th, 1888, at his home east of Severy, Kansas.

George Fudge was born in Skiler County, Illinois, October 29, 1833, the son of Jacob Fudge. He married Angeline Jones on March 31, 1864 in Lucas Co., Iowa. He united with the Baptist Church in 1867; joined the I.O.O.F. Order in 1874, and went in as a charter member in Ridgley Lodge No. 202 in Severy in 1882. His Funeral services was preached by Rev. Merril at the Congregational church last Sunday afternoon, under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. He was buried in Twin Grove Cemetery.

Mr. G.P. Fudge, who has been suffering with dropsy for so long, died on Saturday morning. His funeral took place at the Congregational church on Sunday. Rev. Merrill preaching the funeral sermon, after which his remains were followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and neighbors to their last resting place in the Twin Grove cemetery. The bereaved family have the full sympathy of a host of friends.
