Steve was a dear friend I met during my first year of college. He was small in stature but large in heart and was one of the most caring folks I have ever encountered.
At the time I met him, he had already enlisted in the Navy and left for the service during my sophomore year. We kept in touch off and on after that.
Steve loved southern rock music, the mountains of Bristol, Tennessee where he grew up, all animals, and was a loyal friend to many.
He is very much missed.
