Born May 19, 1921 in Opp, AL; she came to Lake Wales from Alabama in 1941. She was a homemaker and was a member of the West Side Baptist Church since 1950 and was very active with the church.
Marie was preceded by her parents, Walter G. & Daisie (Sims) Chambless; brother, Leland Chambless; sisters, Audie Lawrence and Marjorie Thompson. Survivors include her husband, Thomas C. Collier of Lake Wales; sons, Thomas F. Collier of Lake Wales; Robert Mark Collier of Lake Wales; brothers, Eldrich Chambless of Opp, AL; James Jackson of Clearwater; sisters, Helen Hall of Clearwater; Jean Phillips of Clearwater; four grandchildren, Matthew Collier, Taphney Houk, Amy Mincey & Robert Collier, Jr.; and four great-grandchildren.
