Tom was the fourth of eight children born to Maynard Solomon Jr. and Anna Caroline (Darrow) Bean. He married (1) Mary Elizabeth Platt in 1949 and they were the parents of four children: Sheryl Linda, Lawrence Michael 'Mike', Diana Rae and Ronald Carroll 'Ron'. He married (2) Krstine Lynn Routh in 1983.

Thomas Franklyn Bean, 81, of Payette, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 10th at the First Christian Church, 180 NW 1st St., Ontario with Rev. Frank Moloney officiating. Thomas is survived by his wife, Kristine; children, Sheryl Shields, Mike Bean (Jan), Diana Jimenez (Chris), and Ron Bean (Roberta); sisters, Sharon Reinhardt and Tanya Kerner; grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Brandi, and Larissa; and great grandchildren, Elaine, Karman, Tyler, and Makylie.
His parents and six brothers, Lee, Carroll, Owen, Vernon, Richard, and Ernie preceded him in death.
