Carol Ann was the daughter of Roman and Lillian Kessler. She was carried full term by Ron's Mother. On March 13, 1941 Lillian Kessler spent most of the day in a very difficult labor. With Mom being small and the baby over eight pounds, an emergency C-section would have been performed today, but that was not common practice at that time. The trauma caused by the duration and difficulty of the labor and birth, caused Carol to be stillborn. It was a very sad time for the family. In following years, she had three healthy sons.
