Carol Morrow
Services: Friday, June 37, 3 p.m.

On Monday, June 16 at 1:20 p.m., Carol Morrow lost her battle while waiting for an organ donation.

Carol was born on January 12, 1943 in New Mexico. She moved to Bakersfield with her two brothers, mother and grandmother in 1952. Carol was a graduate of East High School.

She spent many years working as a waitress at Stans Diner, the Roadway and many other places while attending Business College. Since 1996 she was working at Ken Small Construction in the accounting department. She was very dedicated to her work; we all believe it kept her going. She continued to work up until January of this year despite her illness.

Carol loved all sports and was an avid NASCAR and NFL fan. You could always find her on a Sunday in front of the TV either rooting for our hometown boy, #29 or screaming for her Falcons. She also loved to watch movies; collect Hallmark ornaments, drink Pepsi and spend time with her friends and family.

This wonderful person passed away at the UCLA Hospital in the best of care. She is preceded in death by her second husband, Billy Morrow. She is loved and survived by her parents, John and Flo Malters; son, Brent Bennett and daughter-in-law, Sonja Bennett; son, Christopher Niko Morrow; daughter, Stephanie Morrow and her fiancée, Scott Sutton; grandchildren, Brandi Bennett, Jayme Bennett, Niko Bennett and Brian Shorr; her two brothers, Russell Aston and Buddy Aston. Carol had several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Shirley Thompson, Clarisse Nettleton and Katie ONeil were very special people in her life that offered her so much love, support and laughter.

Services to be held on Friday, June 27, 2003 at 3 p.m. at the West Side District Cemetery in Taft, California on Cedar. A celebration of Carols life will follow the services at the Bennett residence, 6915 Kings Forrest Court, Bakersfield, CA

Family is requesting that you talk about organ donation and make sure your family is aware of your wishes. Give and let live, be an organ donor.
