**Birth & Baptism records clearly lists him as John Harvey Gerhart.
(I would like to think his mother knew what she named him, more so than the people who filled out death cert)
The only son of Benjamin Gerhart and Elizabeth Smith.
Marriage application lists father as Benjamin Gerhart, we hold no exact proof as to which Benj. Gerhart or even if that is really truthful. (mother has been proven)
Have found 4 possibles for Benjamin Gerhart so far, with no proof yet.
He married Carrie Bauer who's family was from Berks County. Carrie was born in Nebraska while her parents were visiting family.
They had 13 children and raised 8 to adulthood.
John H was a house painter in the Pottstown area of Pennsylvania for many years. They resided on Jefferson Street.

Bearers were John D, John H., Charles A., Harvey, and Gerald Gerhart and Richard Ludy.
