Oreo AKA Oreonardo, Maestro, Black Mamba, Stretch.
Oreo was a dog with many nicknames. We always joked he had one for every day of the week.

He was the best dog I ever had. Extremely smart, protective and just a loveable friend. He was all a dog should be and more. We noticed in the last few weeks that Oreo was not the same dog anymore. When we took him to the vet, he was having seizures and we decided to end his suffering, once the vet told us he most likely had a brain tumor. Our sweet Oreo just was not enjoying life anymore like: riding in the car ( his all time favorite ), eating his all time favorite lamb slices and treats.

He was in obvious pain and was not acting the way he always had. We did not want to say good bye but we had to, we released him of his suffering and when he opened his eyes he was in a place where there is no more pain and everything is beautiful. We said good bye because we loved him. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make but how could we let our beloved Oreo continue suffering. We always said when his quality of life was beyond help, then we would send him home at Rainbow bridge. We never expected the end to be so fast.

There is a huge hole now and I wonder if it will ever be filled again. I doubt it but I also hope it will. It is so hard to lose your best friend.

One of a kind. My angel Dog. He proved to me God can send angels of any kind. Nothing can limit God's love for us and when he blessed me with Oreo for the years he was here with us. I am so grateful. What a beautiful time we had.

Oreo's best friend was our Beagle, Baylee. It was love from the minute they met. She was a little puppy full of spunk (still has it) and he was almost 3 years old.
He adored her and she was his best buddy. They were inseperable. What a twosome. To see those two was a real treat.

Oreo would be described by many as difficult but we would take him back in a second. He was so sweet and funny. Yes, funny. He filled our life with gladness.

His ashes will one day be buried with me.
