Murder Victim. SRA, US Air Force. Rachel Carlson was raised in Oregon where she had dreams and aspirations. Her dream was to become a doctor and choosing the career of a surgical technician in the Air Force was a step in that direction. She enlisted into the United States Air Force and attended basic training at Lackland AFB in October of 1991. She went on to technical school at Shepherd AFB, Texas, to start her training as a surgical technician. Her internship was done at Keesler AFB, Missippi and she finally was able to start her career at Eglin AFB, Florida with the 96th Medical Group Hospital. She met and fell in love with a fellow airman that she knew from the hospital and in 1995 she became pregnant with her daughter. That love affair later proved fatal to her and her child. In January of 1996 she gave birth to Alexis Breann Stuart. She gave her daughter her step-father's last name to honor the only father she knew and loved. She loved and adored her daughter but that union was short lived, Rachel and Alexis lost their lives in Crestview, Florida and are now eternally together, with Alexis resting in her mother's arms.
