age 80, died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at OSU Hospital. Former resident of Syracuse for 49 years, a resident of Columbus since 2002. Former LTJG, Nurse Corps, U.S. Navy, Korean War. She retired as a Registered Nurse in alcohol and drug rehab in Syracuse. She had a CLOBFLAGvariety of nursing positions throughout her career working in hospitals, the community and with individuals with disabilities. She received her RN from Sisters of Charity, Buffalo, BS and MS in Community Mental Health Counseling. Former active member of St. James Church, volunteer at Unity Kitchen, Director Sing Out Syracuse and Girl Scout Leader. She was also active at Westminster-Thurber; investment club and implementing Eden Alternative, a new way of creative living community with elders. Despite the challenges of a long-term disability beginning in her 30's, she pursued opportunities for learning and trying new things throughout her life. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Nuttle; and her husband, John R. Corcoran. She is survived by their children, Joseph (Carol) Corcoran of Baldwinsville, NY, Maureen (Patrick) Rafter of Columbus, John (Raelene) Corcoran of Haverhill, MA, Steven Corcoran of Atlanta, GA and Eileen (Gregory) Levesque of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Corey, Patrick, Sarah, Alexandra, Anna, Nicholas and Nathaniel; brothers, Thomas (Nan) Nuttle and Jack (Marie) Nuttle; sister, Roseann (Raymond) Stoklosa; sister-in-law, Jeanette Nuttle; nieces and nephews
