to Toronto in 1999. She lent her medical talents as the sort of unofficial medic on the trip, tending to whatever bumps and bruises we might encounter -- and knowing us rowdy musical types, I'm sure we kept her busy!
I was sad and surprised when Chris told me that his mom was suffering from an inoperable brain tumor. I regret that I was never able to visit her when she was sick, but to hear Chris tell it, she fought with strength and vitality, making the most of her last days. She will be truly missed.
