Education: James attended and graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1969.
He then attended Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma and later Central State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1980.

Deborah Carter in 1970 at Durant, Ok.
Rhoda Darlene Smith on February 15, 1992 at Port Arthur, Texas.

Occupation: James worked for HUD In Sulphur Springs, Tx for 6 years. He was a general contractor and home builder.

Church Affiliation: He was of the Baptist Faith.

James loved golfing, hunting, and fishing.
