The venerable Luke Graham died Sunday evening at the home of his son, William, in this city in the 90th year of his life. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon by Rev. D.A. McLeod, followed by burial in the Odebolt, Iowa Cemetery.

Luke Graham was born in Yorkshire, England on December 16,1819. He came with his parents to Montreal, Canada when he was 9 years old. In 1841 he married Mary Green in Montreal. She died May 1902. In 1850 they went to Cleveland, Ohio and a few years later to Delaware County, Iowa, twenty years ago they came to this country and resided here for three years with their daughters near Newell, Iowa and 17 years ago came to Odebolt.

Mr. Graham has been an invalid for a number of years but his wonderful vitality and tender care of his sons family prolonged his life beyond the allotted time. In his day he was of strong and sturdy character, well informed, and positive of his convictions, an upright and honorable man in his relationships with others.

He leaves three sons and two daughters, William of Odebolt, John C. of Hopkins, Missouri, Frank E. of Wall, South Dakota, Mrs. Mary J. McCord of Boone, Nebraska and Mrs. Julia Melcher of Payette, Idaho.
