United States Air Force Staff Sergeant Frost, of Waukesha, Wisconsin was a graduate of Mukwonago High School, Vernon, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the Air Force six years ago and was assigned to Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, as a member of the the 377th Air Base Wing. He was deployed to Iraq in September 2007 with the multinational security command support, responsible for organizing and training Iraqi security forces. He died when a Russian made M-17 helicopter crashed during a dust storm south of Beyji, Iraq. He was on-board the helicopter to do a story about the mission. Christopher was Kirtland AFB's first Operation Iraqi Freedom casualty. He loved the challenge and the relentlessness of his job. He had high hopes of being a top journalist one day. He was editor of The Advisor, a semi-monthly publication of the Multi-National Security Transition Command. He would go out of his way to get that one shot with his camera. Among his survivors are his wife, Ashley; his parents, Garry and Bridget Frost; his three children; brother John (Elizabeth) Frost; grandparents: Marjorie Strabel, Mary Jean Frost and Galen Kurth; and many other relatives and many friends. Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ben Frost. Bio by: Sue
