Ethel was the daughter of John C. & Frances (Barnhart) Gnass. Sister of Russell, John (Jack), Vernon, Marvel LaRene & Mervyn.

Ethel was preparing to graduate in the High School class of June 1936. Shortly after the high school senior trip Ethel fell ill with Strep Throat. Unable to attend her graduation ceremony, she was presented with her diploma in her hospital room. Without the antibiotics available today she quickly was overtaken by the infection.

Ethel was a Camp Fire Girl and a very talented artist. Her desires and abilities were leading her to art school and possibly into the world of fashion design.

She will always be missed and loved by those who knew her.
