Dorthea passed when I was a baby so my memories are family stories. She spent a lot of time in the hospital as she suffered from complications of diabetes. My two older sisters remember us children playing near a pond located on the hospital grounds. I have many occasions to drive past this hospital and view the pond and I can visualize our playing there.
One of my treasures is a little brown leather autograph book signed by many of her doctors and other caregivers.
