Staff Sgt. Charlie L. Bagwell 28, of Lake Toxaway, N.C.; assigned to the 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 82nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died May 30 in Upper Sangin Valley, Afghanistan, when his CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed apparently due to enemy fire. Charlie is buried in Big Hill Cemetery but has a memorial marker in Arlington National Cemetery representing all who died in the helicopter crash. Also killed were
