Mary Duczer Blahut, died Sunday, August 13, 2006, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Springfield and a resident of Hungarian Settlement, LA. She was 88 years old. Surviving are two sons, J.C. Blahut of Springfield, LA, and Donald A Blahut, Sr. of Hungarian Settlement, LA; two daughters, Catherine B. Lumino of Hammond, LA, and
Judie B. McIntyre of Springfield, LA; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Annie D. Chaucer. She was preceded in death by husband, Julius A. Blahut; two grandchildren, Linda B. Timberlake,and Jesse Blahut; three brothers, Mike, John, & Alex Duczer; two sisters, Helen D. Achord, and Lizzie D. Durbin; parents, Mike and Mary O. Duczer. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond after 9:00 a.m. until religious service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Mausoleum, Hammond.
