Filomena was the daughter of Antonia Cinco and Tito Astorga. She met Vince during World War II while he was stationed in the Philippines. They were married just after his discharge from military service, on March 23, 1946, in the Catholic Church of St. Bartholomew in Catbalogan. The ceremony was performed by Monsignor Vicente Figeroa. The couple moved to the U.S. shortly afterwards, where they raised three sons and three daughters. She worked as a nurse.

Cause of death: multiple myeloma
