Mary Jo Loye died suddenly, September 8, 2014. She was 67 years old. Mary Jo was born October 9, 1946,in Detroit, to Florence (nee Selter) and Edward Loye.

Mary Jo worked at Michigan Bell until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of the Papillon Club of America and adored her papillon dog, Josandre. Mary Jo was the winner of multiple awards, including breeder, owner, handler and “Best in Show”.

A devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Mary Jo was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Mary Jo is survived by her sister, Rosellen (the late Ron Bucy) Loye-Bucy and best friend, Chris Hewlett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Ed Spicuzza, Rob Spicuzza, Jacqui Spicuzza, Mike Spicuzza, and Joanne Spicuzza and several great-nieces, nephews and friends. Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Edward Loye.

Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Thursday 4-8pm and Friday 2-8pm. Rosary, Friday at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Blase Catholic Church, 12151 Fifteen Mile Road, Sterling Heights, Saturday at 11am. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10:30am. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
