Beloved daughter of Elizabeth Patricia Kriegbaum & William E.Arnold; devoted aunt of Sister Mary Elsa Lindner, SSND; & Sister Rosemary Lindner, SSND.
A Cumberland, Maryland native, Mother Vitalia was chosen Baltimore Provincial following the death of Mother Mary Myles Carton. She led the Eastern Province for 12 years and requested and oversaw the splitting of the Province into 2 -- the Eastern Province headquartered in Baltimore, and the Northeastern Province headquartered in Wilton, Connecticut. In 1965, Mother Vitalia was succeeded in Baltimore by Mother Mary Maurice Kelly.
Mother Vitalia died at the Motherhouse, 6401 N. Charles Street.
