Maury was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was 18 years old, stationed on the USS Nevada when the Japanese planes bombed our ships. I do not know what his personal story was, because whenever someone mentioned Pearl Harbor he would immediately walk out of the room.

Adella, who died Nov. 29, 1985, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. George King of the Evangelistic Foursquare Church officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery in Hedrick.
Pallbearers are Marshall Johns, Bud J. Cox, Edward Swope, and Walter, Mike and John Jerred.
A memorial has been established to the family.
