Ima and Bob lived their entire married life in the Wesley Chapel Community in Houston County, except for the short time they lived in the Guys Store Community in Leon County, where they married. Their first two children were born in Leon County. They bought their homeplace in January 1920, and lived their the rest of their lives and five of their children were born there.
Ima was devoted to her Church, The Crockett Church of God, serving faithfully. Before the Church was built, services were held on her front porch at her home in Wesley Chapel.
Bob and Ima were married 59 years when he passed away in 1970.
Ima was really close to her brothers and sister, Jim, Wade, Tom and Lillian, and visited with them often.
She is remembered in her community as Miss Ima or Im as Mr Bob called her, also Mammaw by her grandchildren.
