A big whopping thanks to Judy Curnell for sponsoring my mother. What a generous thing to do.. Bless you Judy

Thanks to SaffronWings for taking out the scratch in my
Mothers Picture. It looks great..

My mother was born in 1908 in the Siskiyou mountains of Oregon or California we never knew which. Her delayed birth certificate states Ashland, Oregon as it is the closest town.

She had 4 sisters and 4 brothers one of which is still living

She grew up in the early 1900's and met my dad in 1930 in Lebanon, Oregon they courted for awhile and got married in Portland. Times were hard for them and the depression hit. My Dad did road construction so they moved a lot and sometimes lived in tents due to the lack of housing where my
dad was working. Mother would help out even to driving a dump truck
.. My brother and sister were born in the 30's and I came along in 1941.

Mother and Dad divorced when I was 9 and Mother struck out on her own. She was a waitress and a darn good one. She met Dan Egan and had a brief marriage with him. In 1956 She moved to San Clemente, California and later settled in Long Beach, California.

My mother loved to dance and would often go to Santa Monica to Dance at the Lawrence Welk show.

As she got older she moved back up to Oregon and lived until she passed away 2 months shy of 95..

She was a remarkable women. She chopped her own wood, tendeded her beautiful garden and even drove until she was 90 (I was not to thrilled about that.)She lived alone until she was 90 and took wonderful care of her two beloved cats Baby and Mollie who are in urns in my house along with Mamacat.
