"Mrs. E Russell of north of the city received a message Sunday telling of the death of Mrs. Cordelia Rice, a former Marion County resident who died at her home in Chicago Friday night at 10 o'clock. The deceased was seventy-eight years of age and was the former Cordelia Sickle (sic), and a sister of the late Mrs. William Harvey. Her husband died about sixteen years ago and she is survived by a daughter Mrs. Emma Dumane, who resided at the family residence and a son, Albert Rice of Seattle, Washington.
"The funeral will be held in Chicago tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock"

"Mrs. E. Russell, residing on the Bucyrus Pike about four miles north of Marion received a message from Chicago informing her of the death of her aunt, Mrs. Cordelia Rice which occurred Friday. About 25 years ago, Mrs. Rice resided in this neighborhood. She was also a sister of Mrs. William Harvey who resided on the Bucyrus pike. Two children are left to mourn her death.
Mrs. Russell was unable to go Chicago on account of poor health. The funeral will occur on Tuesday with burial in Chicago."
