Cheryl Darlene Dugat
Two area residents died over the weekend following separarate traffic accidents.
The accident was on August 11, 1966
Dead are Cheryl Darlene Dugat of Freeport . Miss Dugat died Sunday night in following an automobile accident Thursday She was a passenger in a car driven by Fritz Farr of Rusk Texas. They were driving on a rainslick hwy135 from Kilgore to Gladewater when the car slid off the road She received head and chest injuries and internal injuries when she was thrown from the car. Farr remains in serious condition in Laird Hospital in Kilgore Texas where both were taken.For the last one and one half months Miss Dugat had been living and working in Longview. She attended Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas. Miss Dugat had been making her home with her mother and step-father Billy Tom Lamb of 1702 West Sixth St. She is also survived by her Father J. W. Dugat of Conroe, one brother James Dugat of Freeport three half brothers three half sisters , maternal grandmother Mrs. Carl Cox of Beliejo, Ca. and paternal grandmother Mrs.James Dugat of Lake Jackson, Texas. Services are pending Freeport Funeral Home.
