Roy was born in Missouri and was a plasterer early in his life and later went on to become a State Park Ranger in California. He worked in several California State Parks including Old Town, Salton Sea, Mt Palomar.

Roy was survived by his wife Marguerite, son Glenn and son-in-law Pat McArron.

Grew up in St. Louis Missouri. Roy was a member of the Boy Scouts 1934-1938

He discontinued High School and enlisted 7 June 1942 to join United States Army Air Corps. Enlistment Place: Jefferson Barracks, Missouri

Roy married Marguerite Virginia Bentley Dec 2, 1944. On 29 Nov, 1945 Roy received an Honorable Discharge as Staff Sargent (Aviation Student).

Son, Glenn born September 1 1946

Roy worked as a plasterer in St. Louis MO after honorable discharge from USAAC. Civil Occupation: Unskilled occupations in fabrication of metal products, n.e.c.

Roy, Marge and Glenn moved to California in 1955. They lived in Patty's Trailer Park in Covina of Azusa.

Roy completed high school diploma by going to night school in 1960, while working day and night jobs.

Started a 30 year career with the California State Park System in 1962. He worked in several State Parks:

Huntington State Beach (Park Ranger)
Bolsa Chica State Beach (Park Ranger)
Palomar Mountain State Park (Park Ranger)
Salton Sea State Park (Park Ranger)
Old Town (San Diego) State Park (Park Ranger)
Ventura County State Parks (Various) (Maintenance Supervisor of all parks)

After 30 years of service Roy retired in 1992.

He was laid to rest at El Camino Memorial Park. A Private Committal Service was on Sep 9. Fr. John Crepeau officiated.
