Barbara Curtis

Barbara H. Curtis of Eugene died Nov. 9 of age-related causes. She was 91. A private interment will take place at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene.

She was born July 15, 1921, in Eugene to Edwin H. and Estelle Cary Hall. She married Gerald K. Johnson on June 1, 1945. He died in Oct. 7, 1945 while in the Army Air Forces . She married Robert David Curtis on 1947 in Eugene. He died in 1989.

She earned her nursing degree from the University of Oregon School of Nursing in Portland. She worked as a registered nurse until her first child was born in June 1945, then became a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald of Eugene and Robert Jr. of Jiayuguan, Gansu, China; two daughters, Barbara of Manson, Wash., and Laura Wile of Fort Collins, Colo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Phillip, died previously.
