Robert L. Bracken
Born: Sept. 11, 1946; in Centralia, IL
Died: Nov. 25, 2015; in Evansville, IN
Robert Lee Bracken, age 69, of Creal Springs Illinois, formerly of Crystal Lake, passed away November 25, 2015 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. The son of Robert Bracken, Irma (Trent) Bracken, Anderson, and Leonard "Andy" Anderson was born September 11, 1946 in Centralia, Illinois.
Bob joined the U.S. Army serving one tour in Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne.
He married Vickie Lee Robinson November 20, 1973 in Woodstock Illinois.
Bob worked as a labor foreman for 33 years at Spancrete until he retired in 2001.
He was a life time member and commander for 10 years of the VFW post 9763 in Creal Springs, Illinois.
Bob lived most his life in Crystal Lake, until 2009 when Bob and Vickie relocated to Creal Springs, Illinois.
He enjoyed working on old cars and spending time in his garage with his friends and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Debbie Anderson, Brenda (Anderson) Maier, Diane (Anderson) Finger; and one grandchild, Aaron Kraay.
Robert is survived by is wife, Vickie of Creal Springs; children, Beverly (Bracken) Campbell (Tom), Anita (Bracken) Christensen (David), Robert Bracken (Tammy) and Charles Bracken; and siblings, Rodney Bracken, Linda (Anderson) Dominick (Ray), Denise (Anderson) Pattison (Mike) Dennis Anderson (Jenny); grandchildren, J.D. Leamy, Chris Bracken, Nichole (Caley) Gscheidle, Robert Bracken Jr., Karly Bracken, Brittany Michels, Brandy Michels, Haley Bracken and Casey Bracken.
It was Robert's request that there be no visitation or funeral services. The family is planning a get together in the spring.
