Additional information extracted from SSDI records, the Colorado Springs Gazette (CO) published on 14 Jun 2009, and personal information provided by family members.

Public visitation to be held on 15th June at Memorial Gardens Chapel. Funeral Mass to be held on 16th June, Tuesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survived by her husband, Bill (died 2011 and next to her); four children; her brother Cyril (obit mentions he was still alive, but research turns out he died in 2008 before Eleanor); lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cyril's final disposition is unknown as of 14 July 2013, but may have buried in a private ceremony.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Cora (Bush) Kring; an unknown half-brother, Owen D. Kring, half-sisters Helen Grace Jordan Forbes and Vera Ione Kring Prinz; and sister, Iva Ruth Kring Smith Hartman.

Eleanor was born in Gulfport, Harrison, Mississippi, moved to Columbus, Muscogee, Georgia for many years before settling in the Springs with her husband, Bill. They were married for 66 years.

Eleanor graduated from El Paso Community College and was a Licensed Practical Nurse who worked in the Colorado Springs area. Both Vera, Helen, and Iva had a similar nursing background.

She belonged to, and was active, with Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish. She was a regular volunteer at Marion House Soup Kitchen where she helped prep food.
