ALICEVILLE | Michael Ellis Hammond, age 63, of 165 Treeline, Aliceville, died March 21, 2005 at St. Frances Hospital in Greenville, S.C. Services will be 10 a.m. today, March 25, 2005, at Dogwood Chapel, 200 th St. NE, Aliceville. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Faye M. Hammond of Aliceville, Ala.; daughter, Michele Morgan (Tim) of Greensville, S.C.; son, Michael T. Hammond (Charlotte) of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Virginia Steingruber of Prattville, Ala., and Marilyn McBride (Jimmie) of Aliceville, Ala.; brother, Tim Hammond (Tina) of Rowlett, Texas; mother, Eutalla Davis Hammond Aliceville, Ala.; and five grandchildren, Ashli Morgan, Alan Morgan, Adam Morgan, Atley Hammond, and Aubrey Hammond.
Mr. Hammond was born July 31, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Eutalla Davis Hammond and the late Mike Hammond. He was a member of LaVon Drive Baptist Church in garland, Texas, a retired industrial engineer for Alcatel and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Davis, Charles Cox, Eddie Shriley, Donald Thomas, Kenny McLelland, Stephen McBride.
