Samantha Davis was a beautiful white cat who belonged to my Grandfather and Grandmother. I always loved to go visit her. You see, Samantha was born 3 years before me. She actually belonged to a neighbor to begin with who moved to the next town Golden, Colorado. To everyone's surprise quite a long time after they moved, Samantha showed up in my Grandfather's yard and wanted to stay. My family could not locate exactly where in Golden the old neighbors had moved too, so my family took in Samantha where she lived a wonderful life. Samantha was fed the best food and treats, but despite this the stinker could usually be found in the backyard hiding under the bird bath hoping to catch a tasty bird to dine on. Anytime we saw this we made Samamtha get her butt inside. Another passtime of Sams was being able to jump up really high and ring our doorbell. She usually did this at dinnertime. She was quite the crafty kitty. Her favorite sound besides birds chirping was the sound of the can opener. She would race across the yard into the kitchen to see if a can of Friskie's cat food was awaiting her.

Samantha passed away in October of 1992 of a suspected heart attack at the age of 22 astonishing years old. I was 19 when she passed on.

Thank you to Daddy's Girl for sponsoring Samantha's memorial.
