Miss Gelinas was the head of the nursing program at Skidmore College. She came to my house my junior year in high school; she wanted me to skip senior year and start at Skidmore in 1962. After talking to Marguerite Favrao, my high school English teacher I decided to finish at Rippowam first, and I then entered Skidmore in the fall of 1963.
