Born July 25, 1922, in LaHarpe, IL, she was the daughter of Robert A. and Laura Catherine Berlet Tilton.
She graduated in 1941 from LaHarpe High School.
Kathryn was employed for 16 years with the Des Moines County Auditor in Burlington. She retired in 1992 as first deputy. She moved to LaHarpe to be near her family. While living in LaHarpe she was a member of the Union Church and was quite active. She belonged to the Kum-Join-Us Class, serving as chairperson for four years, and handquilted at the church. She moved to West Burlington in 2005.
Survivors include one sister, Darlene (Richard) Breuer of Burlington. She did not have any children, but was blessed with and enjoyed her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and three sisters.
As per Kathryn's request cremation has been accorded.
There will be no visitation.
Services for Kathryn will be at a later date. Inurnment will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
The Hass-Thielen Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
