She was first married to Mr Helton, with whom she had three children. She married Mr Newlon, a widower with five children, and together they had four daughters.

MRS. AMANDA NEWLON
DIES IN BENSON AT 86

Mrs. Amanda Isabelle Newlon, 86, died Sunday at 2:30 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Heineke in Benson after an illness of two months.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Tallyn memorial home in Minonk. The Rev. H. A. Braunschweig officiated. Burial was in the Minonk city cemetery.
She was born June 1, 1862 at Shelbyville, a daughter of Louis and Mary Zinzer. Her first marriage was to W. H. Helton at Shelbyville, Ill., February 1, 1881. He preceded her in death and she latter was married to W. P. Newlon at Maroa.
Surviving are the following children: W. H. Helton of Homedale, Idaho, Mrs. Elizabeth Heineke of Benson, Mrs. Sarah Scott of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Pearl Oltman of Normal, Mrs. Ruth Eilers of Mason City, Ia., Mrs. Ethel Hill of Schneider, Ind., Joe Newlon of Winnebago, Minn., James and Claude Newlon and Mrs. Rose Wirth, all of Prophetstown; a brother, Jacob Zinzer of Douglas; 47 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren.
Miss Viola Helton of Flanagan, member of the Metamora High school faculty, is a granddaughter of deceased.
