Sara married (1) Nils Thoresson (1784-1821) and they had two daughters, one of whom died as an infant. After Nils died when she was 33, she married (2) Jonas Gabriel Ernst (1795-1838). They had five children, one also died as an infant. After Jonas died, Sara had difficulties managing the farm and also caring for four young children, and she married (3) the main male help, Anders Andersson (1822-1876). Their marriage record shows that Sara was 52 and Anders 20, but he was actually only 19 years of age when they married on 2 July 1841. After Sara died less than eight years later, Anders then married Eva Christina Jacobsson (1829-1909), and they had eight children together at the farm Tingvall, which he had bought after marrying Sara.
