Ruth A. Peters, 84, died Jan. 26. She was born March 23, 1927 in Munising, to Roy J. and Mazie (MacKenzie) Peters. When Ruth was six months old, the family moved to Ludington, and then moved to farm in Clinton in 1951. Ruth enjoyed helping on the family farm especially caring for the animals that she loved so much. In 1978 she returned to Ludington to make her home with her sister, Rita. Ruth was a member of St. Simon's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marie Trudell and Helen Trudell; one sister-in-law, Comilla Peters; and two brothers-in-law, Edgar Schneider and Howard Neal.
She is survived by three sisters, Rita Schneider of Ludington, Carol Neal of Georgia and Deanna (Bill) Noah of California; three brothers, Robert Peters and William (Janice) Peters, both of Clinton, and Harold (Margarete) Peters of Oklahoma; 30 nieces and nephews, who lovingly called her Aunt "Ruthie," and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
