BARBERTON -- Richard K. Burchett, age 66, passed away October 27, 2012.
He was born February 10, 1946 in Akron. Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, an avid golfer, and a proud Vietnam veteran. He served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Unit, and retired from the U.S. Navy with 23 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Janet, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sue; children, Diane Harris and Dan (Lauren) Nelson; and grandchildren, Christopher and Xander.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton, with Steve Hardin officiating. Military graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, Ohio 44270.
