Roger "Rog" Dalton, 65, Millersburg, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, Millersburg, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with pastors David Stutzman and Joe Hostetler officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Living Hope Ministries, 2869 state Route 83, Millersburg, OH 44654.

He was born on Aug. 28, 1947, in Clay County, W.Va., and was the son of Herbert and Maxine (West) Dalton. He worked in the oil fields and was an orderly for Castle Nursing Homes. Later in life he cared for his beloved mother and stepfather, Maxine and Lester Steinman. Roger was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed working on automobiles.

Surviving are his two children, son, Kelly Dalton, Millersburg, and daughter, Nichole Dalton (Chris Reigle), Killbuck; two grandchildren, Izabelle and Izak Reigle; and two brothers, Buster (Sonja) Dalton, Craigsville, W.Va., and their two daughters, Cindy (Henry) Miller and Lynn Dalton, and Lonnie (Cindy) Dalton, Loudonville, and their children, Amanda (Jason) Paragon and Michael Dalton. He is also survived by six great-nephews; and his dog, Violet.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother; stepfather; an infant brother; and two very dear friends, Danny "Stoke" and Tanner Stokovich.
