Alexander Durler served as a private in the Civil from April-Aug 1861 Company G 16th OVI, May-Sep 1864 Company I 166th OVI, and Feb-Sept 1865 Company A 196th OVI; Civil War Pension claim made 7/23/1879 Application 299663 Certificate 789852. (See contribution under "Notes and Flowers" by Michael Wood, FAG Volunteer #47446530).
Note: Christian DURLAR (Durler) has a military stone in the Soldier's Lot Section A Lot 12. We know there is a relationship between Christian and Alexander, but not exactly sure what it is.
