Myrle Mayden, 89, Carmi, and formerly of Clay City, died Monday, March 2, 1987, in Wabash Christian Retirement Center.
Services were held in Hosselton-Bookhout-EngelmeierFuneral Home in Clay City with Bro. Neal Kenley presiding. Burial was in Clay City Cemetery.
Mrs. Mayden was born Aug. 30, 1897, in Edwards County, the daughter of Edward and Sarah (Ellis) Cowling. She married Eugene Mayden and he preceded her in death in 1927.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Graves, Carmi; Juanita O'Brien, St. Louis, Mo.; and a sister, Ruth Chasteen, Joliet.
