William was born Feb 10, 1882, in Holmes Co, the son of Jacob and Susan Shutt Etling.
On Oct 16, 1919, he married Naomia Kaser, who preceded him in death on Mar 12, 1960.
He was a member of the St John's United Church of Christ and was employed by Millersburg Furniture for more than 30 years.
Surviving are two sons, Harold of Loudonville and Logan of Millersburg; one sister, Minerva Etling of Wooster; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one step great-granddaughter.
Services were at the Elliott-Hartline Funeral Home, Millersburg with the Rev Robert Snyder officiating.
