Funeral services for Lloyd "Buck" Grubbs, 77, of Marshall will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at The Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Wood and Father Denzil Vithanage officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery in Jefferson under the direction of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home. Mr. Grubbs died Monday, April 9, 2007, in Marshall. He was born May 8, 1929, in Jefferson to George W. and Ruby Hawkins Grubbs. Mr. Grubbs was a member of Central Baptist Church of Marshall. He was a Mason in the Jefferson Lodge #38. Survivors include his wife, Sara Grubbs of Marshall; three daughters, Linda Harlin, Connie Crowe, and Kathy Ford, all of Marshall; one step-daughter, Judy Dusenbury of Houston; one brother, George E. Grubbs of Shreveport, La.; sisters, Jane Brown of Jefferson and Ernestine Jones of Shreveport, La.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Matthew Berry, Mike Berry, Jason Jones, Tony DeVere, Willy Garcia, and Mike Wood. Visitation will today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
