A memorial service will be held at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for Ruby Jetton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4.

Ruby was born on August 11, 1934 to Bill and Addie Allen who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband and childhood sweetheart, F.B. Jetton; her brother, Tommy Allen and brother-in-law, Buster Clark.

She is survived by her son Steve Jetton, and his wife, Penny Renee and her daughter Becky Hale and her husband, Nathan; six beautiful grandchildren, Allison, Penny, Holly, Cody, Hayes and Haylee; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Hershal Allen and his wife, Dorothy; one sister, Joyce Clark; extended family and the Davis Family, whom she worked for more than 30 years.

Ruby was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, the church she loved with all her heart. She loved the Lord each day of her life. With all the problems in life, the answer was always, believe in the Lord with all your heart. To all her family and friends, live for the Lord and someday we will meet again.

A special thanks to Dr. Jonathan Glass and Jennifer Angelo; the nurses at Feist Weiller Cancer Center; LSU Hospital and Grace Home.

Ruby donated her body to the LSU Science Research hoping to help someone find a cure and live a better life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Building Fund.
