Eath Murbarger, 81, of Clay City, IL died October 14 2004, at his home.
Mr. Murbarger was born March 21, 1923, in Clay City, the son of David and Bertha Patridge Murbarger. He married Retha Padgett August 30, 1949 in Tacoma, Washington.
He worked in the oil field, operated a television and repair business, a carpet business, and retired as a rural mail carrier.
He was a member of Clay City Christian church and was a Korean Conflict veteran.
After retirement, Eath and Retha spent the winters in Palm Harbor, FL. He was a member of Sailor Springs American Legion, the Flora Moose, and enjoyed camping, bowling, and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Murbarger; and three daughters, Donna Kessler, Deborah Hogan, and Dorris Rutland; a brother, Neil Murbarger; a sister, Maxine Tibbs; six grandchildren; and two step-great-grandsons.
Preceding him in death were his parents, seven brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Clay City Christian Church with burial in the Clay City Cemetery.
Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora was in charge of arrangements.
