Guy E. Padgett, 78, of Clay City died at 8:09 p.m. Tuesday at the Clay County Hospital.
He was born in Wayne County Nov. 12, 1897.
Mr. Padgett is survived by sisters, Mrs. Leo Bedwell, Mattoon, and Mrs. Chloe Mathes, Streator.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Clay City.
Services will be at the Cardascio-Easley Funeral Home, Clay City, where visitation will be. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery.
